Description: This training session is intended as an introduction to the world of human subject research and what happens when research requires submission to an Institutional Review Board (IRB) for approval. We will address ethical principles of research, IRB responsibilities, researcher responsibilities, the submission process, and using the appropriate documentation. By the end of the presentation attendees will be familiar with the resources required to submit and acquire IRB approval.
