Robert Blake and Andy Jones will discuss the campus-wide transition from SmartSite to the new LMS, CANVAS.
Dr. Andy Jones is the Academic Associate Director of Academic Technology Services at UC Davis. Also co-chair of the UC Davis Learning Management System Transition Working Group, Dr. Andy advises faculty on best practices of teaching with technology, both inside and outside the classroom. Voted the 2006 Educator of the Year at UC Davis, Dr. Andy has taught at UC Davis since 1990.
Robert Blake is professor of Spanish linguistics and director of the Spanish Language Program. He was director of the UC Language Consortium from 2000 to 2012. He has published widely in Spanish linguistics and CALL. In 2013, Georgetown University Press published the second edition of his Brave New Digital Classroom with plans to release a new book in the fall, Lingüística aplicada para ELE. He sits on the editorial boards of LLT and L2 Journal.
